Kerasan gains ISO 45001 certification

Following a rigorous verification process, Kerasan has obtained ISO 45001 health and safety certification. This certifies that the Kerasan system not only complies with standards but is also organised in such a way as to achieve continuous improvement and reduce risk factors, thereby protecting the health and safety of workers.

This is a new milestone in the Civita Castellana (VT) based company’s journey of evolution and growth. The company had previously gained certification to ISO 14001 (the international environmental management standard that certifies a company’s attention to the sustainability of its production processes) and ISO 9001, the most widely adopted international standard for quality management systems.

“We invest constantly in the key issues of health and safety and are delighted to have obtained ISO 45001 certification because it confirms the value of the work we have been doing so far at our company,” commented Kerasan’s CEO Roberto Banditelli.

At its plant in the province of Viterbo, Kerasan produces complete lines of vitreous china and fireclay sanitaryware using state-of-the-art technology combined with the artisanal skill and the strictest quality controls. The company has always been attentive to the environmental compatibility and safety of its supply chain, from products through to packaging and the production process. In compliance with all relevant regulations, waste is disposed of in dedicated authorised landfills and processing water is recycled, filter pressed and returned to the production cycle.
