The value of a truly unique event | by Andrea Serri

(July 2026) – The 43rd Cersaie, to be held in Bologna from 21 to 25 September, will reaffirm the show’s standing as a leading international event for ceramic tiles, bathroom furnishings, interior design, architecture and urban planning. Its strength lies not only in the scale of participation but also in its constantly expanding programme of cultural and educational initiatives.

More than 600 exhibitors from across the globe will occupy 16 halls covering 155,000 square metres of exhibition space. This breadth of industrial expertise, exhibition content and product offerings makes Cersaie a must-attend event for distributors, architects, tile installers and property developers.

Cersaie’s activities span three distinct yet closely interconnected areas. Alongside its primary role as a platform for business relationships and dialogue between industry and the market, it has also long served as a forum for culture and knowledge – from the Bologna Arte Architettura initiatives of the 1980s through to today’s Building, Dwelling, Thinking programme.

Cersaie’s third and most recent area of activity is professional training. For several years, Tiling Town in Hall 19 has served as the exhibition’s dedicated training hub with a wide range of activities and practical showcases. This year, it is expanding its offering with the launch of a training programme aimed specifically at Italian showroom professionals. On each of the five days of the exhibition, Veronica Verona of L’Accademia dello Showroom will share practical insights, sales techniques and advice to help participants hone their commercial skills. The sessions will focus in particular on presenting premium products more effectively to consumers, making the most of floor plans and other sales support tools, and boosting sales conversion rates.
