See you at Cersaie | by Andrea Serri
After a months-long wait in which we have provided detailed information on every aspect of the show, the time has finally come to throw open the gates of Cersaie 2022, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings. Due to be held in Bologna next week, this year’s event takes on added value and significance given the international situation and the unique content proposed at this 39th edition of the show.
The news from hotels and Bologna Welcome is very encouraging, with reports of higher levels of hotel bookings than last year not only in the city of Bologna and its metropolitan area but also in the surrounding provinces. While these figures point to strong levels of visitor attendance, the presence of exhibitors had already been confirmed, with 625 exhibitors from 26 countries (38% from outside Italy) set to occupy a space of 140,000 square metres in fifteen halls. These figures demonstrate the strong interest in Cersaie and the desire to be present at this world-leading exhibition.
Originally launched as a purely commercial event four decades ago, Cersaie has gradually established itself over the years as the pre-eminent venue for presenting new products and has acquired a wide range of new features and content. It is now a platform for international communication, a stage for exploring the world’s greatest architecture, a global school of tile laying, and, as of this year, a showcase for the Italian ceramic companies’ excellence and leadership in the field of sustainable growth. All of this at a single venue, in a single exhibition centre.
And now it’s time to head through the turnstiles and take a closer look at Cersaie 2022 itself.
