Florim receives the Green Good Design Award 2026

Florim’s commitment to combining design innovation with environmental sustainability has earned yet another international recognition: the Formatech collection has received the Green Good Design Award, one of the world’s most prestigious awards dedicated to sustainable design.

The collection was born from the collaboration between Florim and Gensler, two companies that share the ambition of creating surfaces that are not merely products, but true design tools capable of telling the story of material, its transformation and its lasting presence over time.

The architecture firm Gensler outlined its design requirements by proposing a valuable project tool for architects and designers. In response, Florim brought its industrial expertise and dedication to sustainability to help realize this vision into matter. The result is a collection that honors the core materials fundamental to design, transforming them into durable and responsible surfaces created to withstand the test of time.

Formatech was born from our dialogue with Gensler and from the desire to translate the needs of contemporary design into surfaces created to endure over time. The Green Good Design Award is a great source of pride for us and recognizes this shared journey, rewarding a vision in which design, industry and sustainability engage in a tangible and meaningful dialogue”, comments Claudio Lucchese, President of Florim S.p.A. SB.

Gensler is among the largest international firms in the fields of architecture, design and consulting. Founded in 1965, it now counts more than 6,000 professionals united by a single mission: creating a better world through the power of design.

The Green Good Design Award, promoted by the “Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design” together with “The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies”, annually recognizes projects and products worldwide that lead design toward ever higher standards of sustainability, innovation and environmental responsibility.

Following Sensi, FLORIM stone, and SensiTerre, Formatech now also enters the international archive of projects selected by the award, further confirming Florim’s role among the leading players in sustainable design.
