“Every day we work to make the world a better place, beginning with the region in which we operate. We have a deep understanding of our consumers and work within our industry to promote health, well-being and successful growth.” So reads the mission statement of SO.DI.CO. srl Health & Beauty, a company that owns several brands of high-quality, certified and organic cosmetics for body care and beauty, one of which is Naturaverde. With this in mind, the rapidly expanding and highly innovative company based in Italy’s Marche region decided to build a new production facility and operational headquarters in the town of Marotta in the municipality of Mondolfo (PU), where it combines the latest technology and equipment with a strong focus on the relationship between functionality and well-being. The complex also includes offices adjacent to the production area which are designed to foster employee collaboration and dialogue.

Engineer Mauro Mancini, who designed the complex, explains that “the design of the new headquarters was guided by the company’s core values, namely research, innovation and attention to employee well-being”. Exploiting his extensive experience and customary attention to detail, Mancini worked closely with the owners to create a space that would reflect the company’s identity and serve as a stimulating working environment. The main goal was to design a complex with pleasant, orderly spaces that would blend in with the hilly coastal landscape.

Well-organised, bright and airy spaces improve employee productivity as well as their mental and physical well-being. A roof garden and a large roof terrace provide a revitalising space for workers to relax in close proximity to nature. The complex’s exterior was also designed with functionality in mind, but without sacrificing design. Cerdisa’s Stonemix collection was used to create the walkways and raised paving areas, which blend in perfectly with the surrounding agricultural landscape. This material is not only an aesthetically pleasing solution but also has a durable and low-maintenance surface. The use of high-quality ceramic tiles with natural stone-effect surfaces gives these spaces an elegant and modern look together with all the benefits of a long-lasting and hard-wearing material.

“Matt floor and wall tiles were chosen to contrast harmoniously with the white of the ceilings and walls, giving the interior spaces a bright and welcoming look,” Mancini explains. The same collection was used extensively in both the interiors and exteriors in a variety of colours (Gold and Grey), thicknesses and grip levels according to the application.
