With over 10,000 entries from 68 countries, the iF DESIGN AWARD is a prestigious recognition of design excellence worldwide.
The Falala washbasin embodies an exploration of three-dimensionality in ceramic design, enhancing the material’s sculptural potential. Through its enveloping shape and distinctive dotted relief, inspired by traditional African woven baskets, this piece pays homage to sub-Saharan culture: Falala in Ghanaian means “born into abundance.” Available in a range of glossy and matte finishes, this piece is also available in a special Crystal version, characterized by a refined and dynamic interplay of light and shadow. Elena Salmistraro elevates an everyday item to a distinctive expression of design, craftsmanship and culture.
