“IN Ceramica”: Spaces, Projects, Visions

A conversation with three leading architecture firms, organised by Interni magazine at Cersaie 2025, prompted an in-depth reflection on the central role of design and the evolving landscape of the architectural world. In this context, ceramics transcend their role as mere surface coverings to become architectural and conceptual elements, capable of transforming spaces and redefining the living experience

(February 2026) | At Cersaie 2025, the Interni talk hosted at the Café della Stampa offered an in-depth reflection on design as a tool for interpreting the shifting paradigms of contemporary living. The discussion focused on the role of materials, the synergy between architecture, interiors and design culture, and the ability of space to meet new functional, sensory and social needs. Introduced by Gilda Bojardi, Editor-in-Chief of Interni, the talk explored design as an open-ended process in which research, experimentation and vision converge to create conscious, sustainable, and wellbeing-oriented environments.

Journalist Patrizia Catalano explored these reflections through a dialogue with leading figures from the world of design and architecture: Marco Piva, architect and founder of Studio Marco Piva; Giacomo Geroldi, Project Director at Park; and Mario Bisson, university lecturer and Scientific Director specialising in sensory design. The discussion highlighted different yet complementary approaches, united by a shared vision of ceramics as both a material and a language for creating high-quality spaces.
