European tile installers hold Annual General Meeting in Sassuolo

(June 2025) | The 2025 Annual General Meeting of the European Union of National Tile Installer Associations (EUF) was held on 9 May at the Confindustria Ceramica auditorium in Sassuolo. The meeting formed part of a two-day visit to the Italian ceramic district attended by around thirty delegates from Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, the Czech Republic and Luxembourg.

Following opening remarks from Confindustria Ceramica’s Director General Armando Cafiero, outgoing EUF Chairman Karl-Hans Korner and EUF Secretary General Andreas Furgler, the Meeting elected Luca Berardo, the recently reappointed head of Assoposa, as EUF Chairman for the next three years.

During the visit to the ceramic district, participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to maintaining an open and constructive dialogue between installers and manufacturers. They also confirmed the value of ongoing collaboration during Cersaie (Bologna, 22-26 September 2025) and in particular the growing importance of Tiling Town, the area dedicated to Italian and international tile installers which this year will be located in Hall 19 of the Bologna Exhibition Centre.

Highlights of the tile installers’ Italian trip included a tour of the showroom, production facility and logistics centre of a leading ceramic group, as well as an institutional meeting with Graziano Verdi, Vice Chairman of Confindustria Ceramica and Chairman of CET, the European Ceramic Tile Manufacturers’ Federation.
