The Florim collection wins the Green Good Design Award
Florim has received a new and significant international accolade: the SensiTerre collection has been awarded the prestigious 2025 Green Good Design Award, one of the world’s leading honors recognizing excellence in design and sustainability.
The award, promoted by the “Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design” in collaboration with “The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies,” celebrates international excellences leading design towards higher standards of environmental responsibility and sustainable innovation.
For the 2025 edition, hundreds of projects were submitted across categories including product design, graphic design, architecture, landscape, and urban planning. SensiTerre was the only surface collection to receive the award, an achievement that underscores the originality of the concept and the effectiveness of Florim’s green approach.
Created through a collaboration between Florim and designers Matteo Thun and Benedetto Fasciana, the collection reimagines the primal essence of clay using an advanced, sustainable production process. SensiTerre is part of the CarbonZero project, which ensures full CO₂ compensation across the product’s entire lifecycle. This aligns with Florim’s long-standing vision, certified as a B Corp since 2020, that for over sixty years has combined innovation, beauty, and environmental respect to create lasting value for society and the planet.
“We are extremely proud to be recognized for our commitment to sustainable innovation. This award is a testament to a path shaped by passion, responsibility, and forward-thinking. It strengthens our determination to move ahead with courage, creating shared value for the environment, people, and local communities” said Claudio Lucchese, President of Florim S.p.A. SB.
The Green Good Design Awards were established in 2008 as the environmentally focused extension of the historic Good Design Award. Florim previously received the award in 2021 for the Sensi collection and in 2024 for the FLORIM stone brand.
