They are shaped by hand, kiln fired and dip glazed. Intense, textural colours are achieved by using fine glazes. The irregular surface and edges typical of handmade tiles create a rich tactile effect. The firing process using a wood-fired kiln on several levels gives these tiles an unlimited variety of colour tones.
