As in previous years, Cersaie 2023 devoted a large exhibition space to the 11th Tiling Town, the meeting place for all Italian and international players operating in the world of ceramic tiling. Throughout the five days of the show, a 400-square-metre space in Hall 32 hosted ceramic tile installation showcases led by master tile layers, technical seminars on the installation of large size slabs for architects and designers, as well as the Matinées, a series of installation workshops organised by Assoposa’s Platinum members.

One new feature of this 40th edition of the show was an initiative entitled Young Tilers at Cersaie, where 5 young European tile layers (2 from Italy, 2 from Switzerland and 1 from Germany) demonstrated their skills in installing ceramic tiles of different colours, sizes and thicknesses, using the latest equipment and tile laying methods to create 5 exhibits.

The participants were Pietro Luciani and Pietro Zanin from Italy (tutor Massimo Manzotti), Salvatore La Rosa and Jana Goldener from Switzerland (tutor Raphael Rubin) and Manuel Karg from Germany (tutor Mandy Wiegmann).

The initiative was organised by Confindustria Ceramica in cooperation with Assoposa, the Swiss Tile Association and the German Tile and Natural Stone Association (Fachverband Fliesen und Naturstein) with the participation of Mapei, Raimondi, Fila, Progress Profiles and Gigacer.
