Temporary road layout changes in Sassuolo and Casalgrande

Closure of Ponte della Veggia bridge

The Ponte della Veggia bridge will be closed for structural work from 16 June to 16 August 2025.
As a result, all traffic will be diverted to the bridge on the Strada Pedemontana (S.P. 467), which will serve as the sole river crossing during this period.

ROAD LAYOUT CHANGES
Temporary changes will be made to the layout of the SP 467–Via Regina Pacis roundabout.
No north-south crossing of the roundabout will be permitted.

 

MOTORWAY ACCESS
Due to traffic disruption on the bridge, we recommend using the motorway junction closest to your departure point:
• Departing from Casalgrande, Roteglia, Castellarano, etc. → Reggio Emilia A1 motorway junction
• Departing from Sassuolo, Fiorano Modenese, Solignano, etc. → Modena Nord A1 motorway junction

 

CRITICAL TIMES FOR CROSSING THE BRIDGE
The Municipality of Sassuolo has identified the following time slots as potentially critical (high saturation of vehicular traffic), for crossing the Bridge:
07:00–08:30 | 12:00–14:00 | 17:00–18:30

Expected times for police intervention:
• Within 15 minutes after notification, for accidents on municipal road sections;
• Within 30 minutes after notification, for accidents on provincial road sections.
