(July 2025) | Bathroom design has become a crossroads of inspirations, functions and stylistic expressions, with proposals shaped by diverse needs and constantly evolving forms, materials and languages. Within this rich and multifaceted landscape, we’ve identified four well-established trends that stand out for their ability to respond to the needs of designers and users with consistency, character and vision.
Nature-inspired shapes take centre stage in terms of volumes and geometry, while soft lines, fluid contours and organic solutions evoke a warm, enveloping aesthetic. Washbasins, bathtubs, WCs, bidets and accessories blend seamlessly to create immersive spaces where design becomes a means of fostering holistic well-being and a deeper connection with the natural world.
The Tonalità line from Catalano features a series of ceramic sanitaryware units with ergonomic, fluid shapes and nature-inspired colours. Versatile and available in eight satin shades, the units can be combined with numerous furnishing elements. All products in the line are coated with Cataglaze+ antibacterial glaze.
The Koi collection, designed by Federica Biasi for Ceramica Globo, stands out for its pure shapes and is available in oval and round versions. It has a minimalist, contemporary aesthetic and is available in a neutral colour palette.
Flower-shaped handles lend retro appeal and a contemporary touch to the Hipster tap series from Mamoli. The series is available in two finishes, Chrome and Matt Black.
In another scenario, colour brings a sense of vibrant energy to the bathroom, transforming it into an expressive and often surprising space. Increasingly a realm of creative experimentation, bathroom design now embraces a wide and constantly evolving colour palette. Companies offer products in a vast array of shades, ready to be mixed and matched in contrasting or coordinated combinations. From pop-inspired hues and retro pastels to bold touches of saturated colour, each chromatic choice becomes a personal expression of style.

Catino Tondo, designed by Andrea Parisio and Giuseppe Pezzano for Ceramica Cielo, consists of a ceramic washbasin in the Alga delle Acque del Cielo finish with a glossy palette and a Metro Matt painted steel structure. It is completed by an Azul Noche stone top and a Simple Tall Box mirror cabinet.
