KOINÈ

The Koinè collection stems from some of the iconic sculptural forms of artist and designer Claudia Carpenito, reinterpreted as two-dimensional motifs: the imperfect semicircle, the oblique line and, most notably, a handle shape inspired by ancient vases from Messapia in eastern Apulia. This encounter between alphabets and symbols inspired a collection in which Carpenito once again distils the essence of an ancient language into a personal and portable visual lexicon.
