Ennio Doris Foundation Launches New Educational Initiative with Support from Italcer Group and UniMORE

The Ennio Doris Foundation has launched a new scholarship and mentorship programme in the local area, supported by Italcer Group and developed in collaboration with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UniMORE).

The initiative forms part of the Community & Mentorship programme promoted by the Ennio Doris Foundation, a third-sector organisation established in 2022 with the aim of nurturing talent and fostering social mobility. The project seeks to develop and promote an integrated educational model combining scholarships, training and guidance for high-achieving students.

The partnership was created with the objective of making this model sustainable and scalable over time, while maintaining a strong focus on close support and guidance for students. This is made possible through the direct involvement of universities, businesses and local stakeholders. Such an approach enables local strengths and specificities to be enhanced while progressively increasing both the number of young people involved and the overall impact generated.

The model is based on collaboration between the non-profit sector, industry and academia. The Ennio Doris Foundation acts as the creator, promoter and guarantor of the educational pathway; Italcer Group serves as supporting partner, contributing to the development of the initiative and the strengthening of skills aligned with labour market needs; and UniMORE acts as academic partner, overseeing student selection and supporting their academic development.

The project provides scholarships to students at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UniMORE), selected on the basis of both academic merit and financial need. Recipients will also take part in a three-year mentorship programme delivered locally with the support of Italcer Group.

Alongside financial assistance, students will benefit from a structured programme aimed at developing behavioural and interpersonal skills through workshops, meetings with professionals and career guidance experiences.

The goal is to support students in their personal and professional development by providing practical tools to help them navigate the challenges of the workplace with confidence and resilience.

Sara Doris, President of the Ennio Doris Foundation

“We believe in an educational model that goes beyond rewarding merit and accompanies young people throughout a journey of personal and professional growth. The Foundation was established in memory of my father, Ennio Doris, and from the awareness that his personal and entrepreneurial success was made possible in part by the support he received during his studies. Today, we want to transform that experience into tangible opportunities for future generations.

This partnership represents a strategic step towards building a replicable model that can be adopted across different regions of Italy through the involvement of a broad and highly qualified network of stakeholders — universities, businesses, third-sector organisations and entrepreneurial families — capable of generating meaningful and lasting impact.

At the heart of this collaboration is a strong alignment of values: a focus on people, the central role of education and a shared commitment to investing in young people as a driver of the country’s development.”

Graziano Verdi, Chief Executive Officer of Italcer Group

“We are proud to support the Ennio Doris Foundation and UniMORE in a project that concretely promotes growth and opportunities for future generations. Supporting this initiative means investing in the future of young people and the local community.

We believe that every talent should be recognised and supported, regardless of social background, and that collaboration between businesses, universities and the third sector is essential to creating strong and inclusive development pathways.

Through this project, we aim to contribute to the development of key skills for the world of work, supporting talented students through a journey that combines education, guidance and practical experience. This is how value is created — for individuals and for the wider community.”

Monia Montorsi, Deputy Rector for the Student Community, Guidance and the Right to Education, UniMORE

“Joining this project reflects our University’s mission: to be a driver of social mobility and growth for the community,” said Professor Monia Montorsi, Deputy Rector for the Student Community, the Right to Education and Guidance.

“It is a strategic priority of our governance to place students at the centre of everything we do, ensuring meaningful support throughout their educational journey. Thanks to the synergy between the Ennio Doris Foundation and Italcer Group, we are able to offer our students a mentorship model that combines academic excellence with educational support and the development of soft skills.

In an increasingly competitive market, this partnership transforms merit into talent ready to make an impact, equipping future professionals with the tools they need to become a valuable asset for tomorrow’s businesses and for society as a whole.”
