Cotto is a natural material like wood or stone that expresses all its beauty and opulence through infinite shades of colour and minor surface imperfections between one tile and another. Prior to the subsequent drying and firing stages, the surface can either be left as it is or it can be deliberately structured while the clay is still wet.
